My name is Liza Burns. I’m an educational therapist based in Chicago.
Before opening my practice, I taught elementary school for 8 years and tutored for over a decade. I have a bachelors from USC, masters from LMU, and I have completed additional coursework at UCSD and UCR, where I completed my certificate program in educational therapy. I’ve transitioned out of the classroom to work as an educational therapist because I love the challenge of finding the strategies that work for each learner’s unique brain. This is a skillset that goes beyond subject matter tutoring, and the goal is to coach each client into being a more autonomous learner.
